Trajectory
1982-1997
In 1982, we entered the magical world of screen printing, through the printing of rock band t-shirts, which was our main activity in the early days.
In 1986, 6IS GRÀFIC was founded in the Sagrada Familia neighborhood, and we self-taught ourselves to expand the types of screen printing applications, working on different media.
In the early 90s, we began to connect with artists, and the workshop specialized in artistic screen printing.
1998-2004
In 1998, we moved the workshop to Font d'en Fargues (Carmel/Horta) and, together with Josep Moscardó, formed La Palmera Taller d'Art.
At the end of 1999, APARTEDICIONS, the publishing house, was born. During the first few years, the publishing house collaborated with Maragall Edicions in the distribution of screen-printed editions. More than 88 editions were produced in seven years, with artists such as Josep Moscardó, Jaume Roure, Ramon Moscardó, Marcos Pallazzi, and Jordi Santacana.
In 2004, the publishing house presented its catalog to the world through a website to promote screen printing and offer online sales.
2005-2012
APARTEDICIONS attends national and international fairs, showcasing its collection and latest editions by travelling to major European capitals such as Paris, London, Basel, and Madrid.
Despite the economic difficulties of recent years, publishing remains vibrant. We have expanded our collection with 70 new editions and increased the number of collaborating artists to include Marta Chinchilla, Magí Puig, Isidro Ferrer, Joan Guillén, Anna Solanilla, and Lluc Queralt, while also broadening our artistic scope to include photography, artist books, and photobooks.
2013-2017
Between 2013 and 2017, APART EDICIONS maintained an art space in the center of Barcelona (Notariat, 3) to promote and market its own publishing catalog, an initiative that allowed us to disseminate new publishing projects. More than twenty exhibitions and presentations of recent works by artists have been held.
2018-2026
After the period in Rabal, the publishing house moved to Guinardó, where the printing workshop is located, and committed to updating its editorial lines.
From 2020, a new phase began, also reflected in the team's growth. These were moments of renewed success for graphic art and its value as shared art, art for everyone. Workshop activity was boosted, and new creators joined the publishing house.
At the end of 2021, and with the aim of strengthening contemporary Catalan graphic art, the workshop moved to a new space in Empordà (Verges). This marked the launch of what would become CA LA ROSA, Center for Art and Research. The objective is to contribute to the creation, research, and dissemination of contemporary graphic art in our country.
