Ramon Moscardó
Barcelona, 1953
Ramon Moscardó is a post-impressionist painter who has expanded his range over the years with Cubist and Expressionist forms.
Ramon Moscardó practices a pleasant and genre painting style, depicting popular exteriors, cafes and bars in Barcelona, Cadaqués... He also creates interiors of shops with figures, cats, and violins. Nostalgia is often present in these spaces and his still lifes.
His loosely defined, yet virtuous and bold drawing, transforms painting into something magical.
Collages that mix photography with artisanal techniques result in almost abstract landscapes. The result is compositions that, laden with nostalgia, echo some movements of geometric abstraction from the historical avant-garde or allude to Dadaism.
Since 1990, he has lived in Cadaqués, although he never stops traveling in search of new impressions to transform them into sensations through his brushstrokes.
For many years, original graphic work has also been part of his creation. He periodically exhibits in Barcelona and Sant Cugat.
