Regina Giménez

Barcelona, 1965

Painter and graphic artist. Regina Giménez's work creates a world between reality and imagination through globes, ships, and lighthouses. They invite us to journey into the unknown. Regina appropriates images that, when removed from their context, acquire their own autonomy, leading to new interpretations related to the infinite when reordered.

By mixing diverse images, she creates new displays far removed from the everyday and the consumer society in which we live.

Collages that blend photography with artisanal techniques result in almost abstract landscapes. The outcome is compositions, charged with nostalgia, that echo some geometric abstraction movements of the historical avant-garde or allude to Dadaism.
