Josep Moscardó

Josep Moscardó’s work penetrates the complexity of color and light in both day and night atmospheres. Faithful to nature, he shows us an optimistic vision of his environment and his travels. His painting, with certain Fauve references, is expressive and dialoguing, understanding, open to the presence of the figure and the urban landscape. Josep Moscardó is one of the few artists who currently still paints from life and captures the poetics of the everyday.

A restless and prolific sculptor, he bases his work on the synthesis of forms and the collage technique, his pieces are composed of found objects organized in a playful way. For many years, the original graphic work has also been an important part of his creation.

Since 1998 he has been linked to La Palmera, an artistic silk-screen printing workshop. He exhibits periodically in Barcelona and Sant Cugat.
