Josep Moscardó
Barcelona, 1953
Josep Moscardó’s work penetrates the complexity of color and light in both day and night atmospheres. True to nature, he shows us an optimistic vision of his environment and his travels. His painting, with certain Fauves references, is expressive and dialoguing, understanding, open to the presence of the figure and that of the urban landscape.
Josep Moscardó is one of the few artists who currently still paint naturally and capture the poetics of the everyday.
Restless and prolific sculptor, he bases his work on the synthesis of forms and the technique of collage. His pieces are composed of objects found and organized in a playful way. For many years, the original graphic work has also been an important part of his creation. From 1998 to 2016 he was linked to La Palmera, an artistic silkscreen printing workshop. He exhibits periodically in Barcelona and Sant Cugat.
