APART EDICIONS
Art Portal dedicated to Graphic Work and Photography
Apart Edicions was born at the end of 1999 parallel to La Palmera Taller d’Art. Since then we have edited more than two hundred works and have collaborated with a large number of artists. We continue to edit because we believe in the original graphic work and the digital print (giclée) to provide an art close and available to everyone.

In APARTEDICIONS you will find all our editorial fund available (that is, not exhausted). We have editions of original serigraphs and giclées (digital printing) both purely digital and photographic. All the works on this website are part of a limited and unrepeatable edition. Therefore, once all the copies are sold, it is impossible to repeat the edition.
Next, discover a varied selection of our editorial collection with the latest news. To see our entire catalog click here or if you prefer choose through our categories.

The graphic techniques of APARTEDICIONS
Original Silkscreen
Although silkscreen (or screen printing) is one of the most recent technique to be incorporated into the field of graphic art, it is the oldest known technique.
Stencilling, which is the origin of screen printing, was first practised in China 3,000 years BC. However, the most widely used techniques in the art world are engraving and lithography.
In recent years, silkscreen has evolved significantly thanks to its applications in the industrial field. The technique has become much more flexible and sophisticated.
For the artist, producing an original screen printing project nowadays has many advantages over other techniques: being able to use more pigment and, in terms of the process, not having to use stencils to register and always being able to work from the right.
In other words, the artist can deploy his projects with more freedom, with a highly effective visual impact and a much higher guarantee of durability.
In “original silkscreen” – as in the case of the sister techniques (lithography and engraving) – the artist, with the collaboration of the workshop, applies the different colours separately and once the colour and registration tests (BAT) have been carried out, a limited edition is printed and signed and numbered by the artist.
Digital Printing
Digital technology has undergone a rapid evolution in the field of printing and reproduction of works of art. This has made possible the appearance of tools of the highest and most sophisticated printing quality that allow reproductions in any style of photography and graphic or artistic work in general.
The inkjet printing technique is undoubtedly the highest quality in the digital world. The use of pigmented inks on acid-free papers prepared for these inks has led to the appearance of a new artistic reproduction technique of unbeatable quality and very high longevity.
Giclée is the name given to this printing technique in the world of art and specifically in the world of graphics and photography.
Both artists/photographers who practice digital art and those who use it to reproduce their work guarantee quality and durability with this technique.
Today, Giclée is fully accepted in the art world, which uses it for serialisation. Thus, we will call Giclée limited editions, made with pigmented inks, on acid-free paper, which are supervised, signed and numbered by the artist.
