Jordi Santacana
Vilanova i la Geltrú, 1965
Painter between Fauvism and Expressionism. His painting conveys an impact of unusual sensations in our time. He makes almost all his painting in plein air like the Symbolist painters of other times.
Restless, nonconformist and committed to ecology. Nature is the main theme of his work, especially plants and trees, although he deals with both urban and marine themes
and rural landscapes.
Jordi Santacana shows a surprising acuity in the use of color, which reminds us of the painting of Vincent Van Gogh.
He has traveled and painted in Mexico, the United States, Germany, Menorca, Paris, Morocco and India.
He exhibits periodically in Barcelona and Vilanova.
