Silkscreen Custom editions
We work on the serial artwork, the limited print runs, because we believe they are the version of art closest to everyone.
The serigraphs are made together with the artists to ensure the best quality and success of the project.
Screen printing is a printing technique based on the stenciling process, which stamps images or documents through a tensioned mesh on a frame.
The passage of the ink through the mesh (screen) is blocked by an emulsion (with a manual, photochemical and / or digital process of insolation) leaving free the areas where the ink will pass.
The origins of the stencil process come from the ancient civilizations of the East; during the 1850s the Japanese developed it to the current screen printing, initially with human hair and later with silk fabric.
Original screen printing: Screen printing edition where the artist makes the template or screen of each color separately, and after stamping color tests, correcting and adjusting intensities and errors (BAT) a limited print run is made, which later the author signs and numbers.
Subsequently, the screens are cleaned (recovered) for another use.
La Palmera Taller d’Art began in the original screen printing in 1991 and since then we have made more than 200 editions with several artists.
