Regina Giménez

Painter and graphic artist. Regina Giménez’s work creates a world between reality and the imaginary through globes, ships or lighthouses. They invite us to travel into the unknown. Regina appropriates images that, when extracted from their context, acquire an autonomy of their own that gives rise, when rearranged, to a myriad of new readings related again to infinity. With the mixture of diverse images they create new showcases far from the everyday and the consumer society in which we live.

Collages that mix photography with artisan techniques resulting in almost abstract landscapes. The result are compositions that, loaded with nostalgia, present echoes of some geometric abstraction movements of the historical avant-garde or refer to Dadaism.
